SUPER SHARKS
SWIM CLUB
MISSION STATEMENT
Based in Vancouver, the Super Sharks Swim Club is dedicated to the development of youth swimmers while still having fun. The goal is to help discover each individual's passion for swimming and help fulfill their potential as a competitive swimmer.
Super Sharks is committed to the personal growth of each individual in and out of the pool—for life.
REGISTRATION
Our Vancouver swim club provides a year-round swimming program. The first step to joining is to read our requirements and schedule a tryout.
CALENDAR & PRACTICES
During the fall & winter we practice twice per week (maintenance program). Training days increase in May to prepare for swim meets.
SWIM MEETS
Running on the weekends in the summer, meets provide an opportunity to race against other swimmers as part of a team.
OUR PROGRAMS
The fall and winter swimming maintenance program runs from September to April. There are two practices per week for a total of 2 hours in the pool.
The first swim meet is traditionally held at the end of May. Swim meet competitions are held on the weekends at pools in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
PRACTICES
Fall & winter swimming maintenance runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The training days increase in the spring in preparation for summer races and varies by swim group.
Practices run every week except during winter/spring breaks. In the event of a last-minute canceled practice, swimmers and their parents will be notified by email.

OUR COACHES
Our coaches are passionate and dedicated to helping youth fulfill their potential as competitive swimmers. Many are former Super Shark swim team members! During tryouts, coaches run the assessments and determine if there is a spot to suit the swimmer. They evaluate swimming ability, swim lesson level (i.e. SwimKids or equivalent), and for older swimmers, any prior swim team experience.
